Meet the Dentists

Dr. Mark Berdahl

Dr. Berdahl was raised in Denver, Colorado, but both sides of his family are from the Sioux Falls area. Dr. Berdahl enjoys creating beautiful, functional smiles that change people’s lives for the better. He feels blessed to have had a career in dentistry for over 35 years.

Outside of the dental office, Dr. Berdahl enjoys playing guitar and singing in a band. He is also an avid traveler, skilled woodworker, 3D printer, and furniture maker. Dr. Berdahl is married to a fantastic woman and has two step-children and two sons. He approaches every day with passion, positivity, and purpose to serve others.

Dr. Jeff Feiock

Dr. Jeff Feiock has been a pillar of Sensational Smiles for over 25 years. His journey into dentistry began in high school when he shadowed Dr. Mark Berdahl, whose enthusiasm for the profession inspired Jeff to follow a similar path. With a career spanning over two decades, Dr. Feiock is passionate about helping patients achieve optimal oral health and has a particular interest in restorative dentistry.

Outside the office, Dr. Feiock leads an active lifestyle. He enjoys working out, golfing, and skiing. A lover of travel, he is always looking for his next adventure. He is married to Dr. Amrita Patel, and together they have two amazing children. While he is a skilled dentist, Dr. Feiock admits his musical talents are less sensational—but he still loves to sing! Whether enjoying movie theater popcorn or spending time with his family, Dr. Feiock brings a warm, human touch to everything he does.

Dr. Adam Swingdorf

Dr. Adam Swingdorf joined the practice in 2012 bringing well over a decade of experience to the practice. Dentistry truly runs in his family; his father and brother are dentists, and his mother is a dental hygienist. Dr. Swingdorf believes dentistry stands at the crossroads of community, healthcare, and business, and he is committed to creating a welcoming environment for all patients. He is continually learning about the best practices in dental implants and restorations to provide the highest level of care.

Dr. Swingdorf loves his family and community. He particularly loves coaching his children’s sports teams and watching their school performances. He also enjoys hunting and spending time with friends.

Dr. Matt Anderson

Dr. Matt Anderson is a dedicated dentist and owner at Sensational Smiles, where he has been serving patients since 2020. Dr. Anderson has a passion for helping others and loves to have honest discussions with patients about their goals so he can identify the best ways to help them.

Family is central to Dr. Anderson’s life, and he is proud of his two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys working on house projects, hunting, and spending quality time with his growing family. A talented musician, Dr. Anderson plays the violin at church and with local bands. He even has a claim to fame from his college days: playing on stage with the legendary band Kansas!

Dr. Kyle Hanson

Dr. Kyle Hanson is dedicated to helping people relieve pain and get on with their day through same day treatments. Dr. Hanson is known in the office for his humor, which helps put even the most anxious patients at ease. He credits his mother for his career in dentistry. She encouraged his love of learning and taught him the importance of a strong work ethic.

One of Dr. Hanson's favorite things to do is traveling the world with his wife, Jordan, and their daughter, Charlotte. Charlotte and Dr. Hanson enjoy going to the zoo, butterfly house, and playgrounds on his days off from work. Don’t worry, Charlotte and Holly, their dog, are best buds, so she still gets spoiled with more food and kisses than ever from Charlotte. Dr. Hanson is also a big sports fan and enjoys cheering on the Creighton Bluejays and Baltimore Orioles.

Dr. Cole Benson

Dr. Cole Benson was born and raised in Sioux Falls and was actually a patient of Sensational Smiles as a kid! Growing up, he always knew he wanted to work in healthcare to positively impact lives. Dr. Benson loves building relationships with his patients and providing them with high-quality, personalized care.

On weekends, Dr. Benson prioritizes spending time with his family and friends. Staying active is important to him, and he enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including basketball, pickleball, golf, and water sports.
